Life of the Pendragons Twins and a new Discovery..

Angel stood in the middle of a dusty room that hasn’t been touched for years. She wondered where she was--nay, when she is. She knew exactly where she was. She was back home… in her time… in her old room. She looks around to see her twin-sized bed in the middle of the room near the wall. Two bed tables on either side, one held a lamp, a digital alarm clock with radio, and a book with a bookmark, marking it as halfway, that she was reading last time she slept on her bed. The other held pictures of her, her mom and friends. Angel turned to see her dresser, her posters of her favorite singer, Celine Dion, Shania Twain, and some other groups as well.

I’m back…home?... She wondered how did she even get here in the first place. Then remembered, Mother had traveled her forward into the future. She wanted to know how Alysa came to be, how she became who she is. That putting a new meaning to the saying, ‘A trip down Memory Lane’… literally.

She left her room to explored other parts of the house and came to the master’s bedroom last. Standing in front of the door, Angel didn’t know what to expect and gently opened the door. A musty scent of Jasmine and Baby’s breath overcame her. Her mom’s scent, her perfume, lotion, soap, even her candle. The woman simply loved the smell of those flowers, that she placed a fresh flowers of them around the house, along with roses, Angel’s favorite flower. She walks over to the bed and let her hand caress the bedspread as memories after memories overflowed her.

She would run here after getting nightmare and would cuddle up against her through the night. Or whenever there was to be a special day, she would wake up before the crack of dawn and jumps into the bed, waking the woman from her slumber. Her mom would also sleeps in Angel’s bedroom just so she can have the slumber parties here with her girlfriends, since it was the biggest bedroom. There was pillow fight, boys talk, and when the girls get into shopping and make-up mode, she would say something to distract them like ice cream or cheesecake. The girls would take a hint and change the subject or activities as they knew she didn't like any of these and bored her.

A pang of sadness was starting overcome her and she simply left the room and walked down the hallway to the stairs when she heard a creaking sound. She went on full alert and into her fighting stance when she spotted a small door at the end of the halway, slightly ajar. Must’ve been the wind… She walks over and opened it wider. A staircase leading upstairs was seen and she climbed, moving coweb and sneezing as dust started to swirl around her. She was nearing the top when the sneezing got worse. Oh man, I’m all—achoo!—allergic , no correction, sensitive to--achoo!-- pollen. Ugh, why do I have to be just like Mother Nature, getting the good along with the bad? Achoo—whoa—oof! Ow!

Angel nearly fell flat-face onto the floor causing even more dusts to swirl. Achoo! Oh, screw that! Angel waves her hand and a gust of wind swirled around her, causing the dust to clear her immediate area and spread to remove all traces of dirt into the corner. Angel sneezing fits calmed down drastically and could concentrate better. She sat up, and saw a big box in front of her that had made her tripped. On it mark, “Angel’s third year”. Curious she opened the box to see what she will find then it hits her. A sense of déjà-vu. Haven’t I gone through this before?

Then remembered, the night her mom died, the same night her mom told her that she, Mama Couture Garden, wasn’t her real mom……

A two-year old little girl with black hair sat on the floor next to another two year old girl. They were playing together and watches as the blocks floats between them. The girls clapped their hands and laughs as they watch the floating blocks. Then the girl stood up clumsily and started walking. The other followed as well, and side-by-side they walks toward to their parents, who was sitting apparently in deep discussion. She tugs at her outfit and said, Mama, me hungwwy.. She looks up at them lifting her arms to be held.

“No, I won’t do it, not again,” she seethed, keeping her voice low in an attempt to not catch the attention of Angel and Gracie as they played quietly on the floor in the next room. Wolfmist sat across from her at the table, reminding her again of the dangers of letting the children remain in their care. Shadows again had descended over their home, over the Weald, and over the world. Leana had grown weary of life and had thought they were intending to settle…to do things right for a time before again taking up their responsibilities. But it seemed she would never have her wish. Turning away from him, she watched her daughters play, smiling as Grace began to build a floating tower of blocks. Two years was far too short…

In the end, she chose to take them herself, refusing to acknowledge the presence of her husband, merely allowing the girls to hug and kiss him goodbye as they usually did before leaving for a car trip with mommy. She hated to do it, but splitting them up seemed the easiest route to take, for if one were caught before her time of choice the other would be safe. Where to take them was the question she puzzled over as she drove along the English coast.

Hours later, the girls were long asleep, snoring quietly. Leana pulled to the side of the road, thinking about the solution she’d come up with. Angel, she would take to her own home town. She had remembered a woman that had adopted a young girl that, now that she remembered, looked extraordinarily like her. Grace…would be the most difficult jump as she was taking her back to the 1400’s. There would be little chance of her coming to harm there…and possibly a chance she’d meet her again. She would watch over both of them…

The car sputtered to a stop somewhere to the east of a small fishing village; she could smell the day's catch beginning to rot in the icy grave of the market as she looked at the vehicle's fuel gauge, which read well passed the red. Closing her eyes, Leana rested her head back against the head rest, listening to the sounds of her children sleeping in the back seat. For two years she'd tried to give them the home they deserved, perhaps out of her own selfish desires, hoping in vain that she evils that plagued them would give her the time she needed. Tears began to prickle hotly at the corners of her eyes, burning tracks down her cheeks. "I don't want to do this." she whispered to the silence as sobs clenched her throat closed.

"Well, I always thought your children would look horrible, but these brats are kinda cute." Her head snapped up at the familiar voice of her brother from beside her. Mathew sat in the passenger seat, his feet propped against the glove box as if he'd been there all along. She gave a cold laugh at the irony of the image. He'd been dead for...well...time meant pretty much nothing to her anymore. He usually only showed his face when he had something smart to say.

"What do you want?" Drying her eyes, she looked at him, then out the window at the gray clouds sliding over the sun.

"I came to help you. Mother sent me." Leana raised an eyebrow.

"How could you possibly help?"

"I know where Grace needs to go. Let me take her. It'll be easier for me to take her."

"No, she's my daughter." Anger seethed within her at the preposterous idea. She knew where she wanted to take Grace; she could easily keep an eye on her. Mathew's lips thinned in irritation.

"You would deny her the path that Mother has laid before her? Let me take her, Leana, please."

"I won't have a chance of seeing her again." Leana said, pleading with her brother. Mathew set his lips into a thin line.

"Leana, I know how you feel. Do you think it was easy for me to watch you marry? Do you think it was easy for me to see you build a family knowing it was something I'd never experience? It hurt, but I still stayed. Let me take her. I'll keep an eye on her just as I've done for you." She breathed heavilly, resting her head against the wheel for several long minutes.

"Take her." she said, finally, her voice dead. Without looking up, she listened as Mathew climbed from the car, opened the back door, and gently unhooked Grace from her car seat. Leana refused to look at him as he moved toward her door.

"Lea...she'll be fine where she's going. You'll meet her again." Still, she refused to look, and with a heavy sigh, Mathew turned and left, fading into the distance with a sleeping Grace in his arms.

When she could move again, Leana worked Angel out of her seat, watching her face, trying to memorize it. Then, she teleported to a quiet community, her home town, only a few blocks away from the house she and her brother had grown up in. She'd remembered her adopting a little girl with dark hair. Lea knew, somehow, that this was where she was supposed to go. Holding back her own tears, she tucked the sleeping child gently onto a padded deck chair, brushing her locks away from her forehead once more before stepping away into the night.

Angel stirred lightly as her mother took her out of the seat and was placed on a chair. Barely registering where she was, Angel cuddled herself on the chair. She felt a cool hand on her face and flutters her eyes open sleepily. She watches her mom walks away and disappearing into the night. Too tired and too sleepy still, Angel let darkness of sleep consume her once again.

A thump sound stirred Angel. She shielded her eyes from the bright light and slowly blinked her eyes open. She was outside on a chair and wondered where she was. She looks around just as a door opened. A woman on her mid 30's stepped out and bent to get something from the floor. She stood and froze as she spotted Angel.

Oh, hello. What are you doing here? She looks around to see no one was around and looked back at her. Where is your mother? Angel cowered on the chair and simply shrugged as she looks up at the strange woman. The woman spotted a piece of paper fell and saw it says, Angel Rose. Is your name Angel? Angel's eyes widen as the woman mentioned her name and nodded. Then suddenly the woman leaned forward and Angel put her hands up to shield herself in reflex. When a few moment passed by and heard the sound of paper rustles, she looks up to see the woman reading a piece of paper.

To whom it may concern,
Please watch over my little Angel Rose. She is two and her birthday is _(TBA)_. Drastic reason calls for drastic measure. Please let her know that her mom loves her dearly and that it hurts me to leave her with a stranger and hope that she will forgive me one day.

Oooh boy... the woman says. Well, you must be hungry… Angel didn’t respond and the woman stepped back to let her know that she means no harm. Your mom wants me to take care of you while she’s away.

Angel’s eyes suddenly lit up at the mention of her mother. Where mommi? Mommi come back? I want be with mommi! Angel’s eyes started to well up.

It’s ok, it’s ok. The lady went up to her, kneeled down and soothes her. Then picked up Angel to bring her inside as she said, everything will be alright, Mom will come back, I don’t know when but she’ll be back… I hope, she thought.

The people fade as they enters the room and Angel could be seen. She was reliving that moment when she had met her adopted memory, which came crystal clear. Sighing, she walks down the porch steps to the sidewalk. She turns to look at her home. It was still her home even if it been around 7 years since she went to the medieval time. The grass needed to be cut, the house was in need of dusting inside. Some fixing needs to be done as well...

Home Sweet Home... She thought to herself...

A 7 year old boy was walking around with a small portrait of his mother in hand, as he lookd around he couldnt help but see a woman on the porch of a house. The kid looked at for a moment then looked at the Portrait in his hand.. then with a big smile he runs to the woman yelling MAMA!!! over and over again until he finally stops infront of her, wraping his arms around her leg and holding on tight.

Angel snap out of he reverie and looks around at the sound. At first, she thought he thought the boy was calling out someone else, until his destination seems more obvious that he was heading toward her. Angel eyes widen and was nearly toppled off when the little boy, who seemed to be about 6 or 7, tackled and held on to her leg.

Whoa! wai--what--? I think you are confusing me with someone else? She said as she tried to pry the boy off her leg gently. I'm sorry but.. who are you? I'd think I would remember having a son..

The boy looked at the Woman again then said in a sad Voice, "Dont you remember me mommy? its me.... Keith...." he then shows her the Portrait of her he has in his hand as he points to her then the Portrait saying, "Mama" in a confused and sad Voice.

Angel's heart pulled at the boy's confused and sad voice. Umm.. Angel was loss at words. She didn't know what to say or what to make of the situation.. She then remembered the boy mention about the portrait and gently bent down to his level as she takes the picture and examine it. It was a portrait of herself posing. She remembered that picture because she had took it when she found out she was pregnant. Even that time was a blur and something kept nigging at the back of her head, but nothing would surface.

How old are you, Keith?

As he watches the woman he called mama take the picture and examine it he examined her carefully knowing he didnt mix her up with anyone else. when he heard her question he smiled then said in a happier voice, "Im 7 years old"

when he finished he couldnt help but to cling to her leg again for he was sure she would remember him.

woo! Angel had to hold herself from falling again as the boy clinged to her. She realized she didn't know what year this is either. She knew that some years had passed based on the dustness of the house. 7, huh? When's your birthday? She thought that his birth year might tell her what year it is.

Keith looked up at his mama then smiles at her wide as he said, "December 16th, 2016... dont you remember anything mama?!" as he finished he chuckles then continues to hold onto her leg, overjoyed.

Angel winced at the mention of his year. 2016? she thought, that would mean I was around 19 when I had him, and this year is.. She gulps, 2023! That was a big jump from 15th century...

Ok... she hugged the boy and said, Maybe if I talk to your caretaker, I'll remember... Angel held his hand and stood. She turned to walk away from the house when the realization hit her... wait.. December 16th? 2016...? Isn't that Alysa's birthday? Damn it! Why are everyone seemingly so intent on messing with her mind? She was starting to get aggravated with this and vows to do something about. To erase her memory of having any child make her furious than anything else.

Ok, Keith, she smiled softly with determination, let go visit your other mother. Maybe she might really helps...

Keith Nods then leads his mother to his care taker, as they walk a few feet he hears his Care Taker howler from around a near by corner, yelling, "Keith, STOP!" Keith then stopped dead in his tracks then when his Care Taker finally reaches him she quickly picks him up into her arms and holds him protectively. Keith then hugged his Care Taker then said in a happy voice, "I found Mama!" he then points at the woman in front of his Care Taker with a smile. When she looks in surprise she smiles softly then says, "it is good to see you again, him and i go out for walks every so often hoping we will find you. I hope all is alright?"

Angel was startled as a woman snatched Keith away protectively and she herself was instinctly becoming protective, she only hesitated since the woman called him by his name. You... you're that nurse that took care of me...Claudine? Oh, wow! Wait.. you remembered me..? But why isn't that I can remember Keith?

Claudine nods her head, Yes, you told me that you won't remember and that if you ever comes back, I should give you the necklace. I, myself, don't understand why.. and how you can lose your first birthing memory. Claudine simply shooks her head as Angel looked sideway as she shift slightly, knowing full well how... Please, come follow me and I'll show you.

She simply followed Claudine to their house. Once inside, Claudine went to retrieve the necklace as she surveyed the living room, full of pictures. She watched in sadness and happiness as she sees Keith from baby to toddler to child. I missed all your years...
